Star Drawing 7012, 2010, Zafer Baran and Barbara Baran.
“Star Drawings are a hybrid between drawing and photography, and an offshoot from celestial photography (or astrophotography) in particular. While these works are akin to light drawings – as in Picasso’s light graffiti, Man Ray’s ‘Space Writings’, or Harry Callahan’s camera movements on a flashlight (all using an artificial light source) – they are made purely with the aid of starlight, using the moon and stars as ‘pencils’.”
